La Habitación Familiar is a fantastic accommodation for four persons. B&B | CharmeHotel CubaCasa doesn't take bookings for groups of more than four persons. For that reason, we have only one family room, separated from the rest of the rooms by a complete floor to preserve the peace and quiet in the building. It really is beautiful! It's possibly the room in CubaCasa that most radiates the ambiance of South America, thanks to the wooden floor and panelling, ceiling with exposed beams and elegant lighting.
The lamps are street lanterns from Colombia and the wooden finishing in the room makes you think of Argentina. But it could equally pass for 'chic Cuban'. The rooms takes up the entire ground floor of the building and offer around 80 m2 of living space, including bathroom and kitchenette. It's truly a fantastic studio for a family with children, a group of friends or a couple that just likes to each have their own bed.

A fireplace, originally from a French chateau
The room has a few wonderful Chesterfield armchairs, arranged around a cosy fireplace. Once you've settled there, it's hard to force yourself to get up again and decide to go into the city. A glass of wine, pleasant conversation, some crackers with cheese or pâté. ¡Asi ès, la vida buena! What more could you want? Good company, a cosy fire and the warm ambiance of South America. La Habitación Familiar is the perfect place to spend an evening or weekend together, catching up. You won’t feel the need to go out. The room offers everything you could ask for.

A kitchenette for preparing simple meals
La Habitación Familiar is the only room in this unique accommodation in s’-Hertogenbosch with its own kitchen amenities. The possibilities may be limited but the kitchenette is equipped with a two-ring electric hob, some suitable pots and pans, a microwave and a tiny oven big enough to heat up some pastries, for example. There are also two sinks with hot and cold running water, a fridge, a Nespresso coffee machine and an electric kettle for making tea. Plates, knifes and forks, cups, bowls and wine glasses are available. This kitchen is not ment to cook exclusively. Just simple!

Two super-comfortable double beds
La Habitación Familiar has two great beds, at a good distance from each other and situated so that each one has some privacy. There is also the possibility of closing off the two sleeping spaces with a screen which folds out. All you have to do is move one of the armchairs a little. But for most guests, this won't be necessary. They're just glad the beds are so comfortable. Everyone is enthusiastic about the mattresses which we chose with care. Because let's face it: good beds, fine mattresses, wonderful night's sleep - those are the primary needs!

The room doesn't have its own outdoor space, but you can sit by the riverbank.
La Habitación Familiar doesn't have its own outdoor space. However, that needn't stop guests from making the most of the outdoors, the sun and everything there is to see. For example, at the biennial 'Maritiem'. During this event, the most beautiful boats are moored at the jetty, and guests in La Habitación Familiar have front-row seats. Not only can you sit there for a while with a drink or have a nice chat, you can also have a full meal brought there so you can enjoy dining there together. On the riverbank. In the guest house's front garden. That often leads to the most interesting conversations and sometimes to the most surprising encounters. It's a great place to sit!
In summer it's fantastic to just sit with a drink and a snack near, or on, the city wall in front of the building.
La Habitación Familiar has a separate bathroom on its own floor
As mentioned on other pages, all the accommodation in B&B | CharmeHotel CubaCasa has its own sanitary facilities. In La Habitación Familiar, they are separate from the main living space in a closed-off bathroom. No-one else has access to this floor, only your own friends or family. And hotel staff, since washing machine and dryer are also situated on this floor. However, CubaCasa staff will be extremely careful never to cause any nuisance. Your pleasure is our priority!

So the minimum price on Fridays and Saturdays is € 250 a night. Holiday rates apply for holidays and adjoining days, such as Good Friday and Easter. The holiday rate also applies from 24 December till 3 January: € 300 a night (dates in 2022 to follow). Holiday rates may also apply to other festivals such as Carnival. The prices do not include breakfast at € 15 pp a day (in 2021, you can get 50% discount on this if you book directly from us) or tourist tax at € 3.60 pp a day.
Guests who book directly through us, rather than through a portal, will have certain advantage
Guest who book directly through us may drop off their luggage earlier or leave it longer (until 17:00). Guests who book through a portal such as Booking.com will have to pay a fee for this service, equivalent to the commission the accommodation has to pay the portal (which is 12% of the basic room price). CubaCasa also offers guests who book directly advantage concerning breakfast and parking facilities.
La Habitación Familiar is the only room where possibly a (small) dog will be welcome
Dogs we only accept in La Habitación Familiar. Because this room is a total floor, a apartment where no other guests have to pass by. You can keep your dog just in front of the entrance (behind a door of glass), actually just outside of the room where you can put its dog basket. In this way you can see him all the time, and he will see you. In no other rooms dogs are allowed.
Further: It is essential that your dog is socialized, friendly, house trained and doesn’t bark nor whine.
We list here the main pros and cons for you
There may be some sounds audible during the daytime from the floor above (contact sound) since this room is situated below the reception level.
The room is on street level, which means that sound from passers-by may be heard.
There is only one window that can be opened (to the rear). It can safely be left open at night for ventilation purposes. In addition, the room is fitted with an extractor system (at the front) which can also provide fresh air.
The washing machine and dryer are situated in a closed-off area of the ground floor and are used by hotel staff during the day. This means that staff may enter the floor during the day. Naturally, they will be considerate at all times and try to be as unobtrusive as possible. There is also a curtain which, when closed, blocks the view into the main accommodation.

The accommodation is wonderfully decorated in style, and there are two televisions (one near each bed).
A hearth from a French chateau provides a unique ambiance. It's gas-fired, but the flame and warmth are indistinguishable from a real open fire and there are luxurious Chesterfields around it to sink into.
A kitchenette with a basic two-ring electric hob, microwave, small oven and fridge, electric kettle, Nespresso coffee machine (with complementary coffee and teabags, as in every room).

The bathroom also has a heat lamp (500 W) for added comfort when drying off after the shower. Absolute luxury!
